I'm a designer, developer and project manager with expertise in both digital media and consumer products. I enjoy almost all things that sit somewhere near the intersection of design, technology, usability, and learning.
I enjoy building useful and/or interesting things, and generally try to keep life as rewarding and fun as possible. I keep myself busy with hobbies like sailing, photography, guitar, armchair architecture, and all sorts of tinkering.
I've got a wonderful wife, I'm the father three amazingly curious and happy little kids, and I serve as the designated walker for a slobbery albeit lovable yellow Labrador Retriever.
What I do
By day, I'm the Sr. Product Development Manager for Titleist, a company that manufactures golf equipment. My team and I develop the company's next-generation products, and we design and patent stuff along the way.
I'm equally passionate digital media and its role in education. I'm currently a student at Harvard Extension School, where I'm pursuing a Masters in IT, concentrating in Digital Media and Instructional Design.
In 2001, I founded a creative technology consultancy called The Blue Ocean. We provide web development, design, marketing and communications services to small businesses, nonprofit organizations, academic institutions, and creative folks.
About this site
This website is a collection of various professional and personal projects, combined with some stuff that's just plain fun. As such, web development and product design work sits alongside photography and woodworking stuff.
I hope you enjoy your stay. Please contact me with any comments, suggestions, or ideas!
